December 9

Kyle is 14 and is in 8th grade at Urban Middle School in Sheboygan. He was diagnosed about a year ago with Fanconi Anemia, a rare genetic blood disorder where the DNA doesn’t repair itself.

He had a bone marrow transplant in June and is under the care of Physicians from the Medical College of Wisconsin. His older sister Samantha was a perfect match donor. The transplant was “textbook perfect” and Kyle is doing well. He has used a robot through his computer while keeping up with school at home. Kyle likes Science and wants to be a Pathologist. He loves playing baseball the Brewers are his favorite team with former catcher Jonathan Lucroy as his favorite player. He also plays flag football and disc golf. His Mom said “I can’t tell you how amazing, caring and comforting the care in the MACC Fund Center at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin is. It is unbelievable how much they care.”
