Hana will turn 6 on Dec. 20. She was diagnosed with bilateral Wilms tumor of the kidney last June following an ultrasound and CT scan. She is being treated under the care of a Medical College of Wisconsin physician.
Following chemotherapy for three months, she underwent successful surgery to remove the tumors while preserving the kidneys. Hana had chemotherapy treatments after the surgery and is doing well. The 5-year-old kindergartner likes reading and art. She enjoys playing with her older brother as well as riding bikes, playing soccer, games and Legos. She likes the Packers and Aaron Rodgers. Her mom noted that the “doctors, nurses and staff are great” in the MACC Fund Center at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.
