December 6

Alexis is 16. She was diagnosed with a brain tumor in May of 2016. She has had three surgeries, six months of chemotherapy and 30 radiation treatments.

Thankfully she has been cancer free since April and is now seen quarterly in the MACC Fund Center at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin by a team led by a Medical College of Wisconsin physician who drew rave reviews from Alexis’ appreciative mom. Alexis has had significant vision loss and has lost her hearing in her right ear but she has never lost her spirit which inspires all around her. The oldest girl of 6 children, the sophomore at Milwaukee’s Rufus King High School likes math and enjoys spending time with her loving family and shopping.
